Why Invite-Only

The writing changes when the room is mixed. A newsletter written for everyone optimises for reach. Subject lines have to work on strangers. Arguments get hedged. The issue becomes something you find interesting rather than something you act on.

The Proof assumes you're already doing the work, that you understand what an editorial system is supposed to do, and you want one precise argument about why it usually doesn't. That assumption is only useful in a small, specific room.
